I live in the South West of England on the beautiful North coast of Cornwall. I have lived here with my husband Dave for nearly 5 years and we both feel that we have found our 'home'. We love being creative and have a shared love of photography, arts and craft. We set up the 6040 Workshop to able to have a studio and workshop space. I have a kiln for glass slumping and firing and love finding ways to incorporate copper and other metals into the glass.  Our latest passion is printmaking in its many guises including alternative photo processes but at the moment we are experimenting with Lino & Intaglio printing with our mini X cut printing press.

We are often found out and about with our cameras, digital and film to capture the beautiful landscape that is on our doorstep.

I was born in Surrey and spent my childhood from the age of 8 in Hampshire. From my first full time job at 18 I was to get married, have children, move to Scotland, move back again, enrol on an Access course, go to university, get a degree and then a masters, get divorced, retrain as a teacher, change career, get remarried before eventually settling in this lovely part of the world.

I work part-time in a local Further Education college mentoring and supporting students on the Art & Design pathways including Photography and VFX Games Design. It keeps me involved, inspired and engaged with all the current trends in pedagogy and ever changing qualifications framework.

edit me. It's easy.

I am a great advocate of believing that it is never too late and you are never too old to do something new. I went to University at the age of 41 after having to do an Access course as I did not have A levels from school. I graduated with a 1st class Honours Degree in 3D design pathway working with kiln fired glass, ceramics, metal and wood. I completed my Masters in Fine Art with a Photography/Mixed Media based Installation. After university I worked for many years as a lecturer in Further Education gaining my F.E. teaching qualifications and PGCE.  I taught on the BTEC National & Foundation Diplomas in Art & Design, Photography and Fine Art.
